So at first I was going to get an oscar fish. These fish are very big fish and they take a lot of work but I have read that the efforts are worth it. These fish are supposed to form bonds with their owners and even have their own personalities. This is very good. I want a pet with personality (Moe is one of my such pets with a huge personality).
However, my prospects on getting an oscar fish soon changed when my roommate and I got a tadpole. Somehow the addition of another aquatic species spurred my enthusiasm to get a lizard! I am so excited to et a reptilian friend that I have been frantically looking for the correct species to get.
After much research I decided that I will get a Bearded Dragon. I have decided upon this species because, from what I have read, it is the most physically active and friendly lizard (and it wont loose its tail!). Bearded dragons sound the best for me because:
- They are diurnal
- They are omnivores
- they are loving and nice even with kids (not that there will be any kids around my lizard)
- They love to be pet and love attention
- They are easy to take care of
- They can get up to 2 feet long
It is because of these facts that I have decided to get one of these lizards. I know that the lizard my family had when I was a child was very mean and we eventually had to get rid of him, but I feel that if I get this bearded dragon as a baby and raise it myself it will grow to love and cherish me!
That is all,
Moenator
